Companies & stocks
Companies are how “jobs” work on NEXUS: players hire players. Commands: /company (/firma).
Founding & running
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/company found <name> | Found a company (3–20 characters) for 1,500 NC, +40 Economy XP. One company per owner. |
/company info [company] · /company list | Details / list of companies |
/company sector <name> | Set the sector |
/company deposit <amount> | Pay into the company cash (owner or employee) |
/company withdraw <amount> | Withdraw (owner) |
/company hire <player> <wage/h> | Hire an online player at an hourly wage |
/company accept <company> | Accept a job offer |
/company wage <player> <wage> · /company fire <player> | Change wage / fire |
/company quit | Quit your job |
/company disband confirm | Dissolve: shareholders are paid at the current price, the rest goes to the owner |
Wages
- Wages are paid every minute (wage ÷ 60) while the employee is online, from the company cash.
- Employees also get +0.2 Economy XP per minute.
- When an employee sells at the market, the company gets +5% of the sale value as a bonus.
- If the company cash is empty, wages stop and everyone is warned.
Stock exchange
- Go public:
/company ipo <shares> <price>(10–100,000 shares, price ≥ 1 NC). - Trade in
/stocks: left buy 1, shift-left buy 10, right sell 1, shift-right sell all. - Every share bought raises the price by 0.5% and the money goes to the company cash; every share sold lowers it by 0.5% (min. 0.5 NC) and is bought back from the company cash. If the cash is empty, the company cannot buy back shares.
- Every hour the price moves 10% towards its fundamental value = (company cash + daily revenue × 10 + employees × 200) ÷ shares, plus about 1% noise. Daily revenue decays by 4% per hour.
- Dividends:
/company dividend <total>splits the amount over all shares held by players; afterwards the price rises by 3%. - Economy XP: 2 per share bought, 1 per share sold.
For investors: companies with lots of cash, active employees and steady sales have a high fundamental value – the price drifts up towards it.
